What is EPIP?
Our Environmental Performance Improvement Partnership (EPIP) supports and informs managers, so that they are able to make tangible and continuous improvements to service delivery and performance.
EPIP is currently made up of nine local authorities, similar in demography and type. It offers the opportunity to learn, as well as share and develop systems, practices and processes. It provides an efficient and cost effective solution, to meet your development and improvement needs, by the use of comparison through benchmarking.
Because of the changes made by the Audit Commission to their CPA methodology in The Harder Test, Performance Improvement Partnerships (PIPs) are now even more important, as they offer:
- Learning about best practice from your family of authorities, nationally and internationally
- Access to trend data
- Validation and comparison of local performance indicators
- Methods of evidencing customer focus and user satisfaction
As a member you will additionally have:
- All your national and local performance indicators collected, verified and benchmarked against other member authorities
- The opportunity to take part in three performance reviews of major services every year
- Bilateral contact formally with colleagues facing the same or similar challenges
- Access to informal networking in a supportive environment
- On demand support and guidance
